What We Do For Your Artificial Turf:
Our Turf Cleaning Process, Proprietary Product & Equipment
Dirty Turf uses professional truck mounted cleaning machines only. No generic pressure washers of plastic bottles you hook a garden hose up with, ONLY TURCK MOUNTS. These machines are heavy duty and built for true cleaning professionals especially for jobs like removing urine from artificial turf. These are not pressure washers, please do not get the 2 mixed up. Pressure washers and disk like sprayers void all warranties. Our equipment are the type of machines trained and certified professionals use and WILL NOT VOID ANY WARRANTY. From basic cleaning to deeps stains, bacteria build up, crime scenes and severe odor treatments; truck mounted systems are the way to go if you want the absolute best quality.
You’ve probably tried everything to get rid of the odors in your turf; vinegar, baking soda, attachments you hook up to a garden hose, etc., and nothing has worked… With over 30 years of cleaning experience, chemistry and product formulations, our safe and pet friendly product will completely remove pet odors from your turf the first try. Once we spray our Urine Annihilator on your turf it will be as if it has never peed on.
Over time your artificial grass will look worn, flat, annoying pathways will start to develop, seems will start to show. Definitely a thorn in your side since you’ve spent thousands on your turf. You also just don’t want anyone to fix this problem because turf should be treated as a luxury item, right? The absolute best people to powerbroom your turf are not cleaners. Installers should be the only ones to touch your turf. Luckily, Dirty Turf installs synthetic grass and has well over 15 years experience doing it. We still have our installation company. Lots of things can happen if your turf is improperly powerbroomed.
- Seems can split
- Turf blades will rip out
- Un-pin the turf or nails
- Damage the quarter minus
- Reduce the life of your turf
If done improper, you will lose your install and manufacturer warranty. Because Dirty Turf installs synthetic grass, along with the relationships we have built with other installation companies and manufacturers, your warranty will not void.
NOTE: Correct Powerbrooming
If your artificial turf looks like this, Striping, after it has been powerbroomed, it has been done incorrectly. You will never seen a professional installation company powerbroom this way. The type of powerbrooming should ONLY be done this way if the turf has been cut into strips and installed in opposite directions. Debris does not full out either. This also can potentially void warranties.
Powerbrooming has to go in a one direction and a certain direction. It is very crucial to have licensed installers such as Dirty Turf, to run a powerbroom on your turf.
Short explanation of what infill is. Synthetic grass infill is a material that is added to synthetic turf to provide stability, cushioning, etc. It’s usually made of sand, small granules of rubber, other types of materials, and it is spread evenly across the synthetic turf to help keep the blades upright, cushion falls and give a more natural feel. It is spread on top of your turf with these green buckets called a drop spreader. However, lots of times installers do not add the correct infill, correct amount of infill or you need more of it.
The goal is to protect your investment, make sure your turf is properly cared for, keep your warranties intact by having the right people work on your turf and make sure the odors do not get by using our very own Enzyme Infused/Bonded pet infill. We do not charge extra for adding our infill to your yard as we have mountains of the stuff laying around in brand new bags from our installation jobs.
- We test to see what infill you already have
- As we walk around we can tell exactly how much more you need. If you over fill it its like walking around in a sand box and void all warranties, if you underfill it, it does nothing. You need the correct amount in order for it to work.
Your artificial grass probably gets hot, especially the summer time in Arizona. Kids are burning their feet, pets burning their paws. You feel the heat off the turf just walking around on it or trying to sit in your patio area. It’s plastic and it scorches out there. We fix this at no extra charge. Why is it free you ask? As an installation company too, we have this product sitting around from our previous installation jobs so we save it for all of you. It doesn’t take much to put in. It keeps your grass cooler about 80 percent. Just activate it by adding water. When there is not water it should be about 20 percent cooler.
How many times have you tried to leaf blow your turf and/or used a rake and NO DEBRIS comes out!! You paid for this beautiful yard and it look like a windstorm came through, although its been building up a very long time because you cant get the mess out. We are talking, leaves, rocks, seeds that fall off trees, the very little itty bitty leaves that wont even budge. We are very successful at removing all of the debris from your artificial grass and we dispose of it instead of putting it in other areas of your yard.
You’re probably like, what the heck is enzyme bonding. After we clean and remove all bacteria and smells from your artificial grass, we have a process in which we bond the our product with your turf which keeps new smells away for a long period. This doesn’t mean there is no urine in your turf, it means its hard for new smells to get out. The entire goal is, if you get on a turf plan to clean your turf a few times a year, when you go outside to your turf, there should very faint smell or no smells at all. We are very successful with this.
This may gross you out a little. Turf is outside, contaminants are stuck inside the turf, dog feces particles a lodged in deep in the turf that you think you got out but didn’t, and its peed on all the time. It’s been 6 months, 1 year, 5 years, 10 years and you’ve never, ever cleaned your turf. Do you have any idea what bacteria is in your turf? Do you really want know… OK you asked for it….
- E. Coli
- Clostridium difficile
There’s more but enough said…..
This is why a professional truck mounted cleaning machine is so important. We use it to thoroughly remove bacteria and contaminants from your synthetic grass.
Black mold can be a huge issue with artificial grass. Heavy moisture, poor drainage, little to no infill, etc. can cause this. With our cleaning treatments we include a preventative for not only black mold but fungus too. Sometimes you see the weirdest things grow in your turf, looks like a lab in there. Let’s prevent that from happening shall we. Otherwise, replacing your turf is expensive.
Our one of a kind and the first of its kind, Dirty Turf’s very own Sun Protection Spray! Let’s protect that investment by making your turf lasts a very long time, doesn’t fade, stays nice and green and keeps those grass blades protected form the UV rays so you cannot rip those grass blades out with your fingers. You do not want your turf thinning out over time, when this happens its time to replace it. Our UV spray keeps all of this from happening. After we professionally clean your turf, we spray your turf down with the UV spray.
3 spray treatments, why so much! Well because your turf is nasty. This isn’t carpet where you just have carpet and a pad under it. We have to get deep inside the turf, backing, drain holes, quarter minus and sometimes the weed barrier itself to ensure all smells and bacteria are gone. Some artificial turf requires 4 or 5 treatments. How do we know, we can test the ammonias, detect urine spots, and this is where you need an installer because we know how it was installed. We can tell….
WOW what an awesome warranty!!! Why do we give such a good warranty? Because we are awesome and care for our customers. We are so confident in what we do, we are able to give this type of warranty. Should you have issues just give us a call and say “hey dude, pee is back come fix it” and we will no problem. This rarely happens!
